Environmental Overview

As a Security services provider, the Group's primary aim is to meet the public’s security needs. In doing so, the Group recognises that it has an impact on the environment, both directly through the running of its offices and indirectly through meeting the investment needs of its clients.

Group Sustainability Report
The Group employs in excess in 30000 people in various divisions across various sectors of the security market. Safety of staff, lack of compliance with legislation by some competitors and the diversity of the Revenue stream in the security market in Southern Africa are key factors in ensuring the Group’s sustainability.

Corporate Governance
Introduction

Good corporate governance is essential to the successful operations of the Group. The group is hence fully committed to the King Code of Governance Principles (“King 3”) which has now replaced the previous King Code of Corporate Practices and Conduct (“King 2”), with effect from 1 March 2010. In previous years the group reported on compliance requirements relating to King 2. Management is in the process of assessing King 3 and implementing its significant recommendations as appropriate to the Group.
